The Amazing tunnel of red torii
* direction *
- Train…JR Kyoto station( Nara line )—Inari station
- bus…JR kyoto station( bus number 5 )—Inari-taisha
Fushimi Inari-Taisha shrine is the most popular tourists spot in Kyoto,,,actually in Japan!
There are roughly 10 thousand torii at the shrine and the red color was meant to ward off evil.
It has been worshipped since ancient times as good of business prosperity and I always come here in New Years with my family.
It takes about 1 hour to get to the top and I see many people are out of breath( including myself )
Open for 24 hours.
You don’t have to go up to the top lol
It is kind of disappointing that the view of the top of a mountain is not really what many people expected so I suggest,,,
When you reach this point( about 15 minutes before the top ), ,, you can go down a mountain lol
I’m pretty sure this is the most beautiful point.
You should go buy this good luck charm at “Ganriki-sha”
This is the amulet(good luck charm) I bought at “Ganriki-sha”( small shrine )
It is said that this amulet is good for the eye and having a good vision.
There’s this old lady who works at this small shrine, and
She is over 80 years old and she climb this mountain everyday to come to work here!!!!!
Amazing!
Delicious Japanese restaurant “Okumura”
This is a healthy delicious Japanese-style set menu meal with a variety of side dishes.
This landlady is very friendly and used to be on TV in Kyoto!
